Choose the right format.

All plugins are 64-bit. Windows releases use VST3 on x64 systems. Mac releases are universal bundles containing Apple silicon (arm64) and Intel (x86_64) code. AU is available for the products listed below. There is no AAX or VST2 edition.

Logic Pro requires an AU edition. Radial requires a host that can route MIDI from a VST3 instrument to another instrument. ChordLens requires MIDI input. Compatibility depends on the host, its version and routing support; test the demo in your own setup.

Current validation includes Windows plugin tests and Mac Apple silicon / universal builds, Intel slices under Rosetta, VST3 pluginval and AU validation. Physical Intel Macs and every DAW/OS combination have not been tested. Minimum supported OS versions will be listed with the final release packages.

Install on Windows.

1. Close your DAW and extract the Windows ZIP.
2. Copy the complete .vst3 file or bundle to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Preserve the bundle’s internal folders.
3. Reopen your DAW and rescan its VST3 plugins.

Microsoft WebView2

The interface uses Microsoft’s WebView2 Runtime. Many Windows installations already have it. If it is missing, the plugin shows a message with installation help. Install the Evergreen WebView2 Runtime from Microsoft, then restart your DAW.

The Microsoft C++ runtime is linked into these Windows builds. A separate Visual C++ Redistributable installation is not required for these release binaries. WebView2 remains a separate requirement.

If your browser warns about the download

New or unsigned software can trigger a download warning. Confirm that the file came from rivenfx.com and compare its SHA-256 checksum with the downloads page. Contact support if anything looks unexpected.

Install on Mac.

1. Close your DAW and extract the Mac ZIP.
2. In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder and enter ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3. Copy the complete .vst3 bundle there.
3. For an AU edition, copy the complete .component bundle to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.
4. Reopen your DAW and rescan. An AU host may need you to sign out and back in before it detects a newly installed component.

No separate web runtime

Mac interfaces use the WKWebView supplied with macOS. WebView2 and the Windows C++ Redistributable are not needed.

One extra step: allow the plugin

Our Mac builds are not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks a downloaded plugin from loading until you allow it. You only do this once per plugin. The ZIP’s INSTALL-MAC.txt has the exact commands for that plugin.

Terminal (quickest): after copying the plugin, open Terminal and run this line, using your plugin’s name. For an Audio Unit, use the Components folder and .component name instead.

This only removes the “downloaded from the internet” flag from that plugin; no other security setting changes.

System Settings: when your DAW reports that Apple could not verify the plugin, click Done. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, click Open Anyway next to the plugin’s name and confirm. Restart your DAW and rescan. The VST3 and Audio Unit may each need approving once.

Please don’t turn off Gatekeeper for your whole Mac; it isn’t needed. If a plugin still won’t load, contact support with your macOS version, DAW and the exact message. Try the demo before buying.

Your licence. Your machines.

A purchase provides a licence key in your library. Open the plugin’s activation panel and paste the key. The key unlocks the products included in your purchase; the library shows your machine allowance and active devices.

Working offline

Copy the machine ID from the plugin on your offline computer. On an internet-connected device, open your library and create an offline licence file for that machine ID. Transfer the file to the offline computer and import it through the plugin’s activation panel. A file created for one computer will not activate another.

Activation needs a connection to issue or refresh a licence, but the saved licence can be verified locally. Use your library to deactivate an old machine before activating a replacement if you have used your allowance. Keep your licence key private.

Try it in a real session.

Use the same ZIP before and after activation. Paid plugins show their demo status in the activation panel and introduce occasional interruptions while unlicensed. Activate to remove those restrictions. Scope Lite has no activation requirement.

• Prismia, Orbital Delay and Destruction Unit briefly mute demo audio.
• CleanCut’s demo dips are included in captured and exported audio.
• ChordLens periodically pauses its display. Scope periodically pauses capture.
• Radial periodically pauses MIDI output; MIDI-file export requires activation.

Avoid relying on an unactivated demo for a final render or performance. See each product page for its specific behaviour.

Get the notes to the right place.

Radial generates MIDI for another instrument. Load it on a track, route its MIDI output to an instrument track, select the appropriate MIDI channel and enable the destination track’s monitoring. It does not provide a synthesizer sound in your audio track. Test recording, timing and note-offs in your host before buying.

ChordLens analyses incoming MIDI and passes it through. Place it where your host can send it notes and sustain, then route onward to an instrument. It does not analyse an audio recording.

Your corresponding v2 upgrade is free. Previous complete-bundle owners receive the seven paid products in this collection. Keep older versions installed when you need them for existing sessions: a new major version may have a separate plugin identity.
